The marvelous Miss Rachel, owner of Madam Bleu (an adorable antique/shabby chic/supercute shop in Old Town Murrieta, like her on facebook.com/MadamBleu) has generously opted to join our band of misfit artists. I've saved a list of those who've mentioned interest in the past. Please confirm that you're doing *something* with a nightstand ASAP so I can continue planning. :)
I have these folks (real names would be nice, lol, especially if you want credit for your talent):
Judy Suleski (I know your whole name, and you have a few [edit: nightstands! you have a few nightstands], right?)
Crystal Lopez
Gina Florio
Tiffany G (coupons? name?)
Ashlee Falco
Christine Newton
Rachel Reyes
If you'd like to be included, the more the merrier!! Drop me a line at fiberedlife@yahoo.com, comment on this blog or Facebook (facebook.com/fiberedlife) or call me 951-249-3861. Let's get this party started!

No Crying Over Spilled Milk Paint
Great news! "I don't know how to paint" no longer works as an excuse for not painting a nightstand! ;)
A friend of a friend just happens to have a furniture store where she refabs - get this - mostly nightstands! She also teaches folk how to use milk paint, which is all the rage right now to get that shabby chic look. AND she's opening a new store site in Fallbrook in about two weeks. As a lot of the artists participating are coming from Fallbrook, San Diego and Temecula, that's perfect! She'll be volunteering her teaching skills on the morning of the event. Right now, it looks like I'll be asking for a $5 suggested donation for the class (donations go straight to the American Liver Foundation). This is so exciting! And such a great idea for the future - bringing in guest teachers for the arts each year. Yes, I'm thinking that far ahead. Watch me go!

I'm gonna need bigger pants...
We've already outgrown our own britches, as my Mom would say. In other words, welcome to the new blog devoted to the One Night Stand Fundraiser Project. I'm hoping to set this up so that each artist can have their own page with whatever info they wish to share and pics of the nightstands as they move along from "throw that thing away" to "that one's mine!"
The "About ONS" page will give basic info as it did before, and I'll update it as needed. In the meantime, feel free to share this blog, comment, tweet, google +1, facebook, email, and post anything and everything related to the fundraiser. I'd LOVE to see some pics up of the unfinished/old nightstands! Where are the Befores?? :)
